Oracle blocked off a chunk of Howard street downtown to run their conference outdoor
It looks cool, but I didn’t know you can just grab yourself a city block like that for a week. I wonder how much it cost them.
Much has been said lately about how messed up this city is. Most of it is true, it is very difficult to live a normal life in SF, and the price/quality is probably one of the worst in this country. However, in my line of work, there is one amazing fact that is hard to ignore:
* appthority
* lookout
* bluebox
and many others are a 10 minute walk from each other. This can’t be a coincidence, right?
Wow, this is pretty unreal:
San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera says he has the names of nearly 500 mental health patients released from a state-run psychiatric hospital in Nevada and sent to various California cities.
Rawson-Neal Psychiatric Hospital in Las Vegas transported more than 1,500 psychiatric patients by Greyhound bus nationwide between 2008 and last March.
If this turns out to be true, then it really is very close to human trafficking.
